Capricornia Film Awards
Celebrating the past two years of NT screen excellence.
Having begun in 2016, the biennial awards are designed to showcase the best film, television and video productions being created in the Northern Territory or by Territorians. The awards celebrate the best of the best in a number of categories including: Feature film, Short film, Series, Music Video and Commercial and Corporate.
THE JURY
 | Geoff BurtonGeoff Burton has worked in the Australian film and television industry since the mid 1960s. He has worked on more than 50 feature films, mostly as Cinematographer, but also has credits as writer, director and producer. He is also a passionate documentarist and has made many documentary films in most parts of the world, many through his own production company with film-maker partner Sharon Bell. These days he is mostly found making wine on his vineyard near Canberra. |

 | Jenny DayJenny has been producing feature films, short films and documentaries for around 40 years. Her feature credits include The Crossing, Resistance, Radiance and Careless Love. As a documentary producer she’s collaborated with Gillian Armstrong on the theatrical documentaries Not Fourteen Again and Love Lust and Lies, produced Safina Uberoi’s A Good Man and David Bradbury’s The Crater, both for the ABC. |

 | Sue MaslinSue Maslin is one of Australia's most successful screen producers. Her smash hit The Dressmaker, became one of Australia’s all time highest grossing films. Other feature and documentary credits include Japanese Story, Road To Nhill, Jill Bilcock Dancing The Invisible and The Show Must Go On. In 2019 Sue was appointed as an Officer (AO) of the Order of Australia. |

 | Sandy O'SullivanDr Sandy O'Sullivan is a Wiradjuri transgender/non-binary person. An Associate Professor in Creative Industries at the University of the Sunshine Coast, they work across creativities, performance, gender and queer studies, museum studies framed within identity and representation. |
