Synpsis: Two actors meet in a tent to discuss a film they are working on; a younger man playing Hephaestion, and a more mature one playing Alexander the Great. As the thespians dissect their roles Hephaestion argues against the use of 'friendship' as a label to hide genuine romance.

Samantha Alexis Laughton, Director, Writer

Samantha Alexis Laughton (Eastern Arrernte) of Honey Ant Productions recent credits include 3rd Assistant Director and VFX Coordinator on Jon Bell's THE MOOGAI (2023), VFX Coordinator on Warrick Thornton's THE NEW BOY and Kitty Green's THE ROYAL HOTEL (2023) and 3rd Assistant Director on television crime-drama series TRUE COLOURS (2021). Laughton was shortlisted for the SBS Emerging Writers Incubator (2022), AACTA/AFI Pitch: Regional Landscapes (2020) and Sundance Merata Mita Fellowship for Indigenous Artists (2019) for screenplay THE BOUNDARY RIDER. Laughton is also a representative for the Screen Australia 'Gender Matters Taskforce' and facilitated the very first Netflix First Nations Production Ready Bootcamp for Grow Creative Equity Program ANZ.

Sean Guy, Writer / Producer

Sean Guy is an Australian author, playwright, and screenwriter; winner of the NT Young Achiever Awards (Career Achievement) 2023, and the NT Literary Awards (Brown’s Mart Theatre Category) 2022. His body of work includes four published novels; plays that have been performed in the NT, NSW, and VIC; four Fringe Festivals (Darwin and Adelaide) including the award-winning “Showcase of Shorts”; a feature film writing contract, and a number of short films. As of 2023 he is working on a new novel and undergoing a residency as part of creative comedy group Big Dog Salad.
