Neil and Blandine take Singapore!

Attending the 29th Singapore International Film Festival...

The Darwin Film Society have two esteemed representatives at SGIFF this year: Blandine Ruffo (Festival Manager, Darwin International Film Festival) and Neil Ludvigsen (Chair, Darwin International Film Festival Programming Committee and long-time member of Deckchair Programming Committee). Both are big-time cinephiles!

But hang on… What’s that? Festival Manager? Yes! Everyone’s favourite Ops Manager James Parker has taken up the mantle of DFS General Manager and has hit the ground running, but we decided DIFF had become such a large beast on the eve of it’s 10th year that this project needed its own Manager.

Blandine has done incredible work producing the SPARK Film Initiative these past 2 years, and we’re delighted to announce she has accepted the position of DIFF Festival Manager. Congrats Blandine and well deserved!

A perk of the job involves travel to Singapore International Film Festival, to get a glimpse of what’s hot with regard to new cinema in our region! We’re very jealous of Neil and Blandine swanning about, soaking up cinema — and the odd glass of fine it looks like!

Can’t wait to hear about the films they come across and the people they meet. We anticipate a fantastic DIFF next year!
