Passes

There are three pass types available to enhance your DIFF expereince: 5-film pass, 10-film pass and Full Access pass! Passes are valid for the respective number of screenings at the Darwin International Film Festival.

Exclusions: Film Festival Feast at Hilton Darwin and Australian Cinematographers Society NT Awards at Deckchair Cinema.

 
Conditions 
 
  • Passes are nominal, and cannot be shared with other people. We reserve the right to ask for ID.
  • Passes are not replaceable, treat them like cash.
  • All screenings will start promptly at the advertised time.
  • If a screening sells out, DIFF will release ‘no-show’ bookings as early as 10 minutes after the scheduled start.
  • Full Access pass holders are only required to book in advance for screenings with our satellite partner, the Royal Flying Doctors Service (as seats are limited). Tickets will automatically be reserved at all other applicable screenings.
 
How to buy a Film pass
 
  • Select your preferred pass below and follow the prompts to purchase
    • Please include your movie choices (if you know them) at time of purchase and we will book them for you
  • Next Business Day
    • You will receive an email from our staff with details of your pass (code and PIN) and confirmation of when it is available for collection
    • You will receive a confirmation email of films booked (if provided at time ofd purchase)
    • You can use the code and PIN to book tickets online or call us on 8941 4377 to book them for you
    • You can also book your tickets in person at our Box Office between 10am-5pm weekdays, or nightly between 5:45pm-7pm

 

How to use this pass
 
Online

Once you have received your pass code and PIN:

  • Visit diff.net.au or deckchaircinema.com and choose the movie you'd like to see
  • On the ticketing page, enter the code and PIN in the fields underneath "Select Ticket"
  • You will then see the ticket option "VGC Voucher... XXXX" with $0 ticket price, which you can select to book a ticket to that movie
  • Review the booking, then click "add show" to book another film 
  • Proceed to Checkout and Confirm your booking
  • You will receive a booking reference/QR code in your email

 

In person

  • Your pass can be collected from the Box Office at Deckchair Cinema (please wait for email confirmation from our staff on the next business day)
  • When checking in to your booked screenings you must present the appropriate ticket or provide your booking reference/QR code to the Box Office
  • Please do not enter a screening without checking-in at the Box Office first
